Wrong Philosophies; Avoiding them is a great wisdom to success
In my lifetime still counting, I’ve confronted many people with useless unchecked-out statements. Most of these statements are borrowed or learned by their speakers without reviewing for a second the meaning of what they’re saying. Some can say our people, father, or our ancestors say… Who says something doesn’t remove you from validating it in your TIME? Many olden statements have expired. Some were never correct at any time. You must check it out. There are indeed many that I listed in a book. Words are powerful. Words are creative (inbuilt with the ability to create). Words come from the heart, expressed through the tongue in the mouth. Take these few:
- “WHATEVER WILL BE, WILL BE”
Whatever will be will not be; you have to make it be. This is a case of Wrong Philosophies. You have a part to play in what you want, how you want it, where, and most importantly, what you will be in your life, so don’t leave it to chance. Do I shock you? Don’t allow me (or any) to determine it for you.
- “HALF BREAD IS BETTER THAN NONE!”
Why settle for half-bread when you can get a full loaf of bread or even own a bakery? This is a limiting belief that positions you to settle for less and it is a mediocre philosophy. But what if I want one loaf, and I get half? Yeah, take it with gratitude, but don’t make a defeatist mediocre statement to justify your inability to get what you want.
- “A FOOL AT FORTY IS A FOOL FOREVER”
A fool at any age can be a fool forever if he refuses to let go of his foolishness. It is never too late to become wise because the day you wake up and wake up is the day you CHANGE! In the equations of WISDOM, FOOLISHNESS, FAILURE, and SUCCESS, age is not a variable to add, minus, divide, or multiply.
- “ALL FINGERS ARE NOT EQUAL”
Yes! Physical fingers in mine/your hands are not equal but that does not make any of them no or less valuable, and you know and realize that they are all valuable. You are not even a finger, so why look down on yourself? Sell what you have, and use the money to buy wisdom. Terrible expression of Wrong Philosophies.
- “LIFE BEGINS AT FORTY”
If you are below forty and you believe this, I feel so sorry for you because it means you are not yet alive. Not up to 1% of world billionaires, world chargers, and leaders attained such status above 40. Stop consoling yourself with pity.
- “WHAT GOES UP MUST COME DOWN”
Is your age coming down? Is your wisdom and knowledge coming down? Is the price of goods in your country coming down? It’s only a stone you throw up from your hand that can come down because of gravity. Airplane by the law of aerodynamics and projectile refuted your WHAT GOES UP MUST COME DOWN gravity. The pilot chooses when to return to the ground. Think my friend!
- “HE WHO LAUGHS LAST, LAUGHS BEST!”
Why laugh last when you can laugh always and why laugh best when laughter is not a competition? When we program ourselves with these strange philosophies, they limit and restrict us.
- “TIME WILL HEAL!”
“`Lie! Time doesn’t heal many things. that’s mythology, big one, escapist theorem – for discharging the gullible. Time heals little wounds on the surface of your skin, not on sensitive joints of yours. Time doesn’t heal infections e.g., HIV, hepatitis, COVID-20, Laser fever, gonorrhea, etc. Time doesn’t heal anger, hatred, Conflicts, etc. Time heals is what keeps is this nation the way it is today. Sort out the matter immediately. Don’t wait or add. Jesus even told us to settle with our adversary quickly before it turns into a crisis.
- THE DEVIL YOU KNOW, IS BETTER THAN THE ANGEL YOU DON’T KNOW.
Why do you want to associate with the devil? The devil depicts evil, no matter how you want to make it look. The Angel you don’t even know is doing its primary assignment of guarding you always. Nothing good comes from the devil. Desist from such philosophy.
- HE THAT EATS WITH DEVIL EATS WITH A LONG SPOON
Of no person for you to party or eat with than the devil? Sorry! Your situation might be more acute than I imagine. How can you mortal (spirit living in flesh) eat with the devil, a spirit being entire: satan talks less of using a long spoon. Stop that comedy! Better be hungry than to dine or share a plate or table with satan.
Change the way you think and talk. Avoid Wrong Philosophies. What you say happens to you. Deal with foolhardy and foolishness in your tongue. You have the opportunity to:
