The vision thing!

Vision
power of vision

A vision is a vivid mental image of what you want your life, career, and or business to be at some point in the future, based on your goals and aspirations. Having a vision will give you a clear focus, and can stop you from derailing i.e., heading in the wrong direction. For those in business, the best way to formalize and communicate the vision you have for your business is to write a vision statement. A vision statement captures, in writing, the essence of where you want to take your business and can inspire you to reach your goals. Now, this can be replicated in every aspect of your life including leadership.

When it comes to business success, vision is crucial. However, instead of our literal sense of sight, this vision involves our sense of imagination and possibility. Please, vision is not a product of sight but a product of the heart. Vision in business is the ability to visualize successful outcomes and positive results, and the ability to dream of where you want to go with your business. Are you following me?

Let me reduce it to what everyone can handle:

As a business person, don’t be afraid to dream. So, spend a few minutes every day visualizing where you plan on going and how you plan on going there. This is not daydreaming, it’s focused on development, scheduling, and organization. Plan your day by seeing the optimum outcomes. When you imagine yourself succeeding, you’re more likely to succeed. Remember, if you don’t take time to build your dreams, you’ll likely end up taking time to build someone’s dreams.

The Power Of Vision, It is Hidden Inside …

“People think that their dream is outside of them. So, they go looking for prophets – wanting somebody to prophesy to them, going to some crusade, some meeting, some religious leader. You’ll never find it that way. God hid your future in a place where He knew you couldn’t miss it. You did not hear me well. I repeat: He hid it within you.

“So what do you desire to do? What do you want to do as a person? You need to stop and document that; write it down; and make a plan, and then this is when God directing your steps comes in.

“If what you saw in your vision is not what you see now, then what you see is always temporary. So you enjoy what you’re doing now with all your heart because it’s preparation for the next phase.

See, you’ve got the greatest asset in the world to begin with. You’ve got your mind and yourself. You are your best raw material to achieve your dream. When you believe in your dream. vision

Excerpt from Equipping Leaders to Lead

This journey of self-improvement and constant learning is a core theme in my books especially Equipping Leaders to Lead. It offers insights into equipping to perform the duties, functions, and roles of a leader.  Equipping Leaders to Lead also establishes the art of developing leaders, as the most important job of a leader. It emphasizes that an untrained leader is a quark just like any untrained professional is a quark in such an area of not trained. It is good for corporate and individual, ministry, and corporate applications.
