In the Power Of Vision, 4, I want to look at this context.
I tell people that if leadership is a building, vision is a major pillar; call it a landmark or cornerstone pillar. Vision is a driving force. Nothing outstanding has ever been achieved on earth in any field of endeavour without a towering vision of men and women of like passions who are distinguished by vision. They are said to be visionary. This stuff called vision ‘no be’ small thing. A small enterprise or business could mean a small vision. A small church could mean a small vision. A small society can be a small vision of the founding fathers. It could be a lack of vision but let’s say it’s too small a vision. When things are not working well even in government, organizations, and personal lives, vision needs to be revisited – this is even where vision existed. Too many people; men and women you will meet in the course of your work have no vision crafted for their lives, careers, profession, business, and family.
Sir, Vision is INSPIRATION that makes you perspire to ASPIRES. Come on get on your butt, and aspire. Vision is a FORCE; a gargantuan, and a gigantic one. Everyone – man or woman has a womb for vision. Craft a vision for every aspect of your life. Don’t live life the way you see it. Live according to the vision you crafted. Find it.
We develop leaders. We bring out the leaders in people. Everybody has leadership entrapped in him or her. Leadership is not an exclusive right. Everyone is called to lead in one or more areas or the other. But discovering this leadership in you starts the journey. And vision is the source of leadership. So, this is the power of leadership.
