The Paradox Of Leadership is real. People, technically followers, depend on their leaders basically because of
- They made those people their leaders; because mandate comes (emanates) from the people, AND power belongs to the people BUT leaders exercise the power.
- Their leaders are supposed to know the way to greener pastures, to give them HOPE and FUTURE.
- It’s the way the CREATOR designed it for greater effectiveness, efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
The rest will be when live.
Corruption is a terrible BAD thing that can happen to corporate people. This country had experienced this all through her lifetimes.
Not addressing/fighting corruption is the worst thing that can happen to corporate people. We have had administrations that for their tenures didn’t question and address corruption. That was worse but not the worst. Posing to be a crusader; fighting corruption and yet perpetuating a higher dimension of corruption unheard of in the corruption history of the land is the WORST. As a leadership expert, my job is getting more challenging than ever.
Why do people betray trust? Why say one thing and do another? Why can’t our leaders just for one tenure make themselves trustworthy? Are these bad, worse, and worst cases still the make of British colonialism or military governance? Why do things happen to us this way?
Solutions.
- GOD’s intervention. This cannot be undermined or over-emphasized. GOD can make a man a leader and at any day the man messes up, GOD only NEED is for somebody to report the matter to HIM thereby permitting HIM to throw away “the goofed man.”
- People should make themselves AGENTS OF CHANGE by participating in leadership in whatever capacity: political leadership or otherwise.
