Leaders Make Commitment to Excel in a New Year Not A Resolution.
Commitment is a promise to do or give something: the attitude of someone who works very hard to do or support something [Merriam-Webster Dictionary].
According to the same Dictionary, Resolution is the act of finding an answer or solution to a problem.
The first assignment of a leader is setting out VALUES and welcoming people to fall in or out. These people respond based on their commitment to your values.
See yourself as a leader over all your life endeavours – spiritual, family, businesses, career, profession, health, etc., in which you are, of course.
You need the commitment to get a result. I said in my book Equipping Leaders To Lead that commitment is the scarcest commodity you can get in any organization. That is true for organizations there and organizations in (individuals).
Make a commitment to;
- UNLEARN what you think you know,
- RELEARN many not in proper perspective and
- LEARN new things you don’t know.
- Make a commitment to be different. In the 21st century, people who succeed are different, not normal like others, unreasonable people.
Unreasonable people are defined as people who are not normal, and who make others conform to them. Conversely, reasonable people are those who do what others do – copycats. They are not creative, not innovative, not pioneering. They line up looking for the same jobs they’ve heard that are not.
- Make a commitment to be a mini creator, idea champion cum idea merchant.
- Make a commitment to value and respect time because you’re just what you do with your time. You can’t waste money even if you attend 10 Time Management workshops until you learn the discipline of time.
Don’t forget: Leaders Make Commitment to Excel in a New Year Not A Resolution. Have a fruitful year or dispensation.
