People with a fixed mindset instead of a right growth mindset tend to desire to appear smart even when they may not, with a corresponding fear of looking polished. Their desire leads them to avoid challenges, give up easily, see extra effort as a waste of time, ignore or reject criticism, and envy or begrudge the success of others.
People with a fixed mindset often plateau (climax) early in life and fail to have or reach a fixed goal.
The good news is that anyone can initiate a shift to a growth mindset at any time. That’s why I’m challenging you to grow and not have a fixed mindset. Doing so shifts your thought processes to be collaborative, team-natured, open, authentic, empathic, and relevant. If I can do it, so can you, which is why I encourage you to embrace a growth mindset and unleash the creative, problem-solving innovator that resides inside of you; your ‘brain’ baby inside your mind crying to be unleashed. You also must be willing to change some critical behaviour, starting with choosing growth over stagnation. Taking positive action and beginning to accept challenges and criticism and learning from both.
